With the marathon a distant memory this next meta cycle of training is to help increase my speed - my mileage has reduced considerably and the sessions are designed to be faster rather than endurance.
Monday evening was to be 20 x 200m split into 2 sessions - with my legs and feet still aching from Saturdays efforts in the Lake district I decided to try and do the efforts on grass so used the meadow in New Mills which is flat. It was a hard session : the number of reps, slightly uneven surface, tired legs and running it on my own, still they have to be done !
Easy day tomorrow and then across to Rainow for a five mile fell race on Wednesday.
