Ten minutes to fill in a gap !
After sulking for a few days after the High Peak 40 I decided to do a bit of proper training again.
Week 1 was 6 days of 90 minutes a day running - no specific pace just 90 minutes.
Week 2 was 6 days of 120 minutes a day running - again no pace or distance just run
Week 3 went up to 150 minutes until the Thursday when I caught a cold of my dear friend Tony which knocked me for 6 as it was a real chesty/snotty cold.
Anyway the day of reckoning approached fast and the famous four (Tony, Lee, Neil and yours truly) set off on my second 40 mile Ultra race in Germany and amazing myself beyond my wildest dreams got 6hr 20mins which was a PB by 1hr 50mins and we cam in second team (or first International team!)
It was a great few days in Germany and a great course - mostly on trail
